Job Summary

In this full-time role (37.5 hrs pw), reporting to the Associate Director of Development & Communications, you will assist in building a sustainable income strategy for Middle Temple from a variety of streams including Individual Giving, Trusts & Foundations, Major Donors, Merchandise and Heritage Fundraising. The role includes marketing and communications for the Inn and for the Middle Temple Charity.

Facilities Supervisor

In this full-time role (37.5 hrs pw), reporting to the Facilities Manager, you will be delivering an extremely efficient and effective Estate’s service for the Estates team responding to reactive maintenance requests from the TABS system and the events department. To provide the cleaning team supervisory support within their contractual obligations to ensure the estates remains clean and safe for public.

The Honourable Society of the Middle Temple extends its sincere condolences to the Royal Family following the sad news that Queen Elizabeth II has passed away at the age of 96. Over the course of her seventy years on the throne, the Inn was proud to welcome Her Majesty and other members of the Royal Family at visits, banquets and receptions. We look back today on these occasions and on our celebrations of landmark years during her remarkable reign.

Looking into reforms to legal education in the mid-19th century that introduced teaching, standards and assessments after several centuries lacking any meaningful support for prospective barristers.

Training the Trainers
The Inn’s advocacy courses, at all levels, are taught by current and former practitioners. Before they start training advocacy, they are required to undergo training themselves. On the Training the Trainers courses, Bar Course students act as “guinea pigs”, i.e. they are taught by the new trainers, under the supervision of the Inn’s most experienced advocacy trainers.
Revels is a comedy sketch and song show performed by members of the Inn in Middle Temple Hall during Christmas time, comprised of original material and accompanied by a live band.
Revels has a long history going back at least 400 years. It has changed shape over time, but it has always retained the tradition of being a little rebellious.

Queen Mother Scholarships
Members are invited to express their interest in filling the forthcoming Middle Temple Bar Council Representative vacancy. The appointment will commence from 1 January 2023 and will last for a term of three years.
For general information about the role of the Inn’s Representative on the Bar Council, please see their website. Bar Council Representatives are invited to sit in attendance at certain meetings of the Executive Committee and will represent the Inn at meetings of the Bar Council.
