In this fulltime role (37.5 hrs pw) you will support the Facilities Manager and Estates Office team in delivering an efficient and effective facilities function for the Estates Department and support reactive maintenance requests across the Middle Temple estate. You will also provide technical support covering our mechanical and electrical installations and deputise for the Facilities Manager in their absence.

In this fulltime role (40 hrs pw) you will maintain the Inn’s Plumbing Services in safe and good working order, provide direction and support to the Plumber team and ensure that appointed contractors maintain accurate records of boiler servicing and repair.  

We’d love to hear from you if you have City & Guilds 6189 Level 3 qualification or equivalent e.g. apprenticeship qualification. You should have knowledge of traditional plumbing materials and methods and experience of working on Listed Buildings. You will be able to work with all forms of lead e.g. repairing ornamental lead work, formation of pipe sections, jointing pipes and sheet lead work to roofs etc as well as experience of copper brazing, metal welding, sheet copper and zinc work.

The Inn awards just over a million pounds in scholarships each year, with the majority going to students commencing the bar vocational training course, some to students doing a post-graduate law conversion course, plus smaller amounts for ad hoc overseas placements, essay prizes etc. In this fulltime role (37.5 hrs pw) you will effectively and efficiently coordinate the scholarships award process from applications to interviews, right through to approval and payment of awards, keeping accurate records throughout.
