Bench Call - Callee Biographies:
The Hon Mr Justice Scoffield QC
David is a Judge of the High Court in Northern Ireland. He was educated at University College, Oxford and Queen's University, Belfast. He was called to the Bar of Northern Ireland in 1999, where he practised in public and administrative law; took silk in 2011; and was appointed to the High Court Bench in 2020. He is also Chair of the Northern Ireland Law Commission.
The Hon Mrs Justice Mary Rose Gearty
Mary was appointed to the Irish High Court in 2019 and is the inaugural Director of Judicial Studies in Ireland. She has responsibility for child abduction cases under the Hague Convention and also hears Judicial Review, Personal Injuries and Criminal Law cases.

Members of the Bar of England & Wales, Scotland, Ireland and Northern Ireland, Hall members and Students. No guests.

The menu for the evening is:*
To start: Summer crab, avocado, dried tomato and lemon salad, glass bread
For main: Pan roasted duck breast, apple gel, pak choy, ratte potatoes, pickled blackberry, honey jus
For dessert: Chocolate coulant, griottines jam, coconut sorbet
*subject to change.
Non-alcoholic alternatives will be provided on request.

Benchers can buy tickets online. Please note that you must log in to book (if you have not yet created a log-in please register first). Alternatively you can buy tickets from the Treasury Office by telephoning 020 7427 4800.
Unless the event sells out earlier, booking will close at 12:00 two working days before the event.
