Career:  A businessman specialising in car dealerships; Worked in the White House during the Reagan administration as Assistant to the President in 1982 and Director of Presidential Personnel in 1985;  He was also on the Board of Directors of the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars; Appointed by President George W Bush as Ambassador to the Court of St. James,  2005-09; Currently Chairman of the Board of Directors at the Pacific Council on International Policy and Trustee of the Center for the Study of the Presidency and Congress in Washington DC
