Full Title: Miss Catherine Wood KCCategory: Ordinary Bencher Bench Call Date: 8.4.2025 Call Date: 25.7.1985 Bio: Catherine Wood KC is a family silk at 4PB, specialising in children cases. She read law at Queen Mary College, London University and joined Middle Temple as a student. She was a MTSA committee member, appeared in Revels, performed in the band at a Middle Temple Ball and sang after dining in Hall. Through Middle Temple, she has made life-long friends and even married a fellow Middle Templar in the Temple Church. Catherine was called to the Bar in 1985 and is an Ede and Ravenscroft Scholar. She began her career in a common law set before joining 4 Paper Buildings in 1993 where she quickly developed an expertise in children law and was regularly instructed by the Official Solicitor. She took silk in 2011 (the 237th woman to do so). In 2007, Catherine was appointed as a family only Recorder and in 2017, Catherine became one of the first children arbitrators. She is Acting Deputy Head of Chambers at 4PB. She is a former committee member of the FLBA, a member of CIARB and a fellow of the IAFL. Catherine enjoys spending time with her family and friends who keep her firmly grounded. |
