Masters of the Bench

After working in the shipping litigation department of a leading firm of City of London solicitors for 10 years, Bruce Harris worked for a major firm of P&I/Defence Club managers for another 7.  At that stage he started to work part-time as a maritime arbitrator, going full-time in 1980.  He has been Honorary Secretary, Committee Member and President of the London Maritime Arbitrators Association, and Chairman of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.  He is consultant editor for London Maritime Arbitration (Informa) and joint author of The Arbitration Act 1996 - A Commentary (Wiley Blackwell). In June 2020 Bruce became President of the London Maritime Arbitrators Association.
