JAMES VIVIAN is the Director of Music at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle where he directs the professional choir of men and boys. From 1997 - 2013, he was a member of the music department at the Temple Church; he was Director of Music from 2006. During this time the choir broadcast, recorded CDs to critical acclaim and appeared at prestigious concert venues.

James Vivian was acting-Assistant Organist at Lincoln Cathedral and was Organ Scholar at King's College, Cambridge. He was a prize-winner in the Fellowship examination of the Royal College of Organists, and studied in Paris with Marie-Louise Langlais.

As an organist and conductor, James has appeared in many Festivals and has performed concerts and recitals throughout the world. He has examined for the Royal College of Organists and has broadcast on many national radio stations and has recorded with labels such as Decca, Signum Classics, Priory, Sony BMG, EMI and Hyperion.
