Full Title: Mrs Maggy Pigott CBECategory: Ordinary Bencher Bench Call Date: 20.11.2007 Call Date: 27.11.1973 Bio: Having read Jurisprudence at Oxford and completed pupillage, she entered the Government Legal Service and spent 16 years in the Criminal Appeal Office, Lord Chancellor's Department. She also held a variety of non-legal posts in the Department for Constitutional Affairs and Ministry of Justice, including Senior Judicial Appointments, family and judicial policy and five years as Joint Executive Director of the Judicial Studies Board (now the Judicial College). She job-shared for 23 years, in seven posts, with Judith Killick, a solicitor, and they were both thrilled to receive a CBE in 2011. Now retired, she is involved in following her passion for dance and dancing, is Vice Patron of the work-life balance charity Working Families and a Trustee of Open Age (helping those over 50, in three London boroughs, lead healthier and happier lives). She is married to Tim, a retired City Solicitor, and they have two adult children.
