Kama obtained a Benefactor’s scholarship, Blackstone’s Entrance Exhibition and Stanley Waring House Award from Middle Temple.
Kama practices from Park Square Barristers Chambers in Leeds where she is Deputy Head of Chambers and has a predominantly criminal practice specialising in cases involving vulnerable witnesses.
Kama was an elected member of the Bar Council for a number of years and chaired Bar Conference in 2015; Kama became QC in 2016 and Recorder in 2018.
Kama is the Bar Representative on the MOJ Working Group for pre-recorded evidence and one of the National Lead Trainers and Inspector for the Vulnerable Witnesses Advocacy Training. Kama is a senior advocacy trainer.
Having completed training with the BBC under their ‘Expert Women’ scheme Kama is appears regularly on National Media as a legal commentator. Kama is married to a barrister and they have two teenage children. |
