He has made a major contribution to education in his specialist areas by writing numerous publications, including Halsbury’s Laws on Trade Marks and the leading practitioner textbook Russell-Clarke and Howe on Industrial Designs. Outside the Bar, he has long been interested in politics, where he has made good use of his legal expertise. Among other things, he was a member of the Coalition Government’s Commission on a Bill of Rights for the United Kingdom, and is now chair of ‘Lawyers for Britain’ (www.lawyersforbritain.org) who are arguing in favour of a 'Leave' vote in the referendum on EU membership. |
