Austin Allison was educated at Liverpool College and Wadham College, Oxford. He is a partner and the Senior Legal Advisor of TT International, a firm of investment managers headquartered in the City of London with offices in Hong Kong and New York. After 17 years in the Temple, where his practice included banking and other commercial work, he moved to the City in 1987. After nine years at Standard Chartered Bank and four at Westdeutsche Landesbank in senior legal and regulatory positions, he joined TT International in 2000. He is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and an accredited mediator. He is a vice-president and past chairman of the Bar Association for Commerce, Finance and Industry. His main relaxation is horseracing, both as a spectator and as an owner. Married to June, he has two sons, one of whom is a solicitor and the other an investment banker.
