Previously, he was Dean of Laws and Professor of Commercial law at UCL and, before that, Hind Professor of Commercial law at the University of Nottingham and Professor of Law at McGill University, Montreal. In addition, he has held visiting appointments at a number of universities in the United States, the Far East and Australia and New Zealand. He is a door tenant at 20 Essex Street Chambers and a Fellow of the British Academy. He is the general editor of Benjamin’s Sale of Goods and the author or co-author of a number of several books on personal property law, credit and security, private international law and sale of goods (domestic and international).He is a member of numerous editorial boards of law reviews and has also been active in a number of bodies, past and present, concerned with international uniform law. |
