Masters of the Bench

Nicholas Francis is a Harmsworth Scholar and was Called to the Bar July 1981.

Following pupillage at 2 Essex Court (Michael Thomas QC) and 1 Crown Office Row (Mervyn Heald QC) he Joined the Chambers of Neil Taylor QC at 2 Dr Johnson’s Buildings as a tenant in December 1982 and remained there becoming Head of Chambers in 2002 until being appointed to the High Court Bench (Family Division) in October 2016.

He is married with three children and is a keen dinghy sailor.
