He took silk in 2015. He is Head of Devereux Chambers, specialising in employment and commercial law, particularly injunctions, industrial relations and insurance law. He has been a Crown Court Recorder in 2009 and was appointed a Deputy High Court Judge (sitting in the KBD, Employment Appeal Tribunal and Administrative Court) in 2023. He is Chancellor of the Diocese of Guildford determining ecclesiastical law cases in the Consistory Court and is an active member of his local church. He has taught advocacy and ethics for the Inn for a number of years and helped initiate its equality and diversity training. He served two terms on the BSB Professional Conduct Committee and is a Trustee of the Middle Temple. He is co-author of Injunctions with Master Bean and The Law of Reinsurance with Master Edelman. He has been a Scout leader for nearly 3 decades, enjoys outdoor activities, music and opera. |
