KC specialising in public law, human rights and discipline and regulation.  Oxford University, Wadham College (PPE) 1984–1987.  Called to the Bar, Middle Temple, 1990.  Pupil and junior tenant at 4 Brick Court, Chambers of Antony Shaw QC.  Tenant at 39 Essex Chambers since 1998, and now Joint head of the Public Law Team.  Trustee of the Free Representation Unit.  Author of a number of texts on the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and contributor to Disciplinary and Regulatory Proceedings.
