Masters of the Bench

A Harmsworth Exhibitioner, and Inns of Court Studentship scholar, Angus was called in 1990 and took Silk in 2010.  He is a member of 1 Crown Office Row, where he has a varied civil practice and acts as a special advocate in   national security cases (the first of which was for Abu Qatada).  He was a member of the ‘A’ Panel of civil     Treasury Counsel for 8 years. 

Since its launch, he has been an editor of the award-winning UK Human Rights blog (ukhumanrightsblog.com), which was set up and is maintained by members of 1 Crown  Office Row.  He is a trustee of the Barristers Benevolent Association.
