At the Law Commission he led law reform projects resulting in recommendations that led to changes in the law of inchoate offences through the Serious Crime Act 2007, changes to the law of murder in the Coroners and Justice Act 2009, and a new statutory basis for the law of bribery effected by the Bribery Act 2010. Publications include Homicide and the Politics of Law Reform (2012); Excusing Crime (2004), and Provocation and Responsibility (1992). |
