Masters of the Bench

Jonathan Peacock KC practises at the Revenue Bar from 11 New Square, Lincoln’s Inn. He read law at Corpus Christi College, Oxford (1986, 1st Class) and was called to the Bar in 1987.

He advises on all tax matters and has particular experience in financial services and asset management, VAT and employee remuneration matters. He has an extensive energy practice which focuses on the North Sea but also extends to advising on interests and assets around the world.

He frequently appears in courts and tribunals in the UK and around the world (including the UK Supreme Court, the European Court of Justice and the European Court of Human Rights) on tax matters and has acted both for and against the UK Government in tax avoidance matters. He has been instructed in arbitrations and to provide expert opinions in overseas litigation and is the author of numerous articles and several books on aspects of revenue law.
