David has been engaged for some years in the work of the Executive Committee of COMBAR, in particular developing its programmes for student and recently qualified barristers as well as expanding COMBAR’s work in overseas jurisdictions. He is also assisting in the work of the Bar Council and COMBAR in relation to civil and commercial jurisdiction following Brexit. He is presently Secretary of COMBAR.
At the Bar David has specialised in international arbitration and related commercial work. In this area of interest he has appeared in a number of leading cases in the courts of England and Wales and in the courts of many common law jurisdictions around the world. He has written extensively in the field of jurisdiction and arbitration agreements. |
