It is with much regret that we report the death of our Middle Temple Bencher, Araba Taylor, who passed away on 5 December at the age of 62 years.

It is with great sadness that Middle Temple announced the death of The Rt Hon The Lord Judge, on Tuesday 7 November 2023.
Lord Judge’s thanksgiving service will take place on Thursday 25 January 2024 at 18:00 in Temple Church, London. The service will be followed by a drink's reception in Middle Temple Hall, Bench Apartments and Library. Guests are also welcome to join the stream live from their own location.
Space is limited and tickets will be allocated to seating blocks approximately one week prior to the event. An application is not a guarantee of a space. A maximum of one ticket can be applied for per booking. If you are not successful in your application then a virtual link will be provided to you.

Middle Temple Bin End Sale Christmas
Our Bin End wines are available to purchase from the online shop, and in Middle Temple Hall during the lunch period of 12:00-14:00. Wines can be picked up from the Catering Office (through the Catering entrance, down to the end of the corridor and to the left). Stock of each item is very limited, so please order early to avoid disappointment.

Assistant Librarian – £41,875 - gross per annum

In this fulltime role you will assist with the management and maintenance of the library’s collections; deliver a first-class professional service to members and work on the Enquiry Desk on a rota basis and deliver legal information research skills training sessions. We are seeking a candidate who will be interested in managing the Library’s collection of US law (print and electronic) at a future date; training will be provided. The candidate will assist the Librarian with the rare books and manuscript collection, on an ad-hoc basis. The Assistant Librarian reports to the Librarian, collaborates closely with library colleagues, including those of the other Inns, and works with other Inn staff members.
We’d love to hear from you if you have a degree in library & Information studies or equivalent an interest in the role of Artificial Intelligence in the legal sector, a high attention to detail, excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to deliver excellent customer services.

In this fulltime role (37.5 hrs p/w) you will act as the first point of contact for members and guests and be responsible for performing a variety of administrative and clerical tasks whilst maintaining a helpful and positive attitude. In order to do so you will maintain close working relationships with colleagues, particularly in the Membership and Education teams.
