BSAC

This Committee is responsible for inviting nominations for prospective candidates for election to the Bench.  It keeps under review and advises Parliament on the number of Masters of the Bench to be elected annually and the criteria on which candidates are nominated for consideration (e.g. distinction, contribution to the profession and contribution to the Inn). 

The Committee also considers proposals for the election of Honorary Masters.  These are individuals who have not been Called to the Bar by Middle Temple, but who are distinguished in their profession and will make a contribution either by association or involvement in the life of the Inn.
