The Inn provides scholarship awards through a registered charity (number 314246), commonly referred to as ‘The Middle Temple Trust Funds’. Four Trustees appointed by the Inn are responsible for the assets of the various Trusts, which result from donations, benefactions, and legacies. The Trustees meet regularly and consider investment performance and risk management policies and procedures, together with scholarship awards and fundraising progress. The award of scholarships is delegated to the Scholarships & Prizes Committee and fundraising is carried out by the Scholarship Fund Appeal Committee both of which make regular reports to the Trustees. The Director of Finance & Resources is Secretary to the Trustees.
