The Appointments Committee is responsible for the consideration and nomination of Senior Appointments including Deputy Treasurer Elect, the Readers, and Committee Chairs. Final approval is granted by Parliament at the Appointment Parliament which takes place each year in December.
At such meeting or meetings as it decides to hold the Appointments Committee:
- Shall consider the list of Nominated Masters together with the list of all Qualified Masters;
- If it considers it desirable to do so, may invite a Qualified Master who is not a Nominated Master and is not excluded from consideration under B2.20…to nominate themselves for election and thereby become a Nominated Master;
In carrying out its duties under B2.24…the Appointments Committee shall apply the selection criteria set out in the Role Description and have regard to any other matters consistent with such criteria as it considers relevant.
