Role
We are seeking a full-time Paralegal and Administrative Assistant to join our team, primarily in our extradition department, but also, on occasion, in our general crime department.
The role will also involve helping out on reception. The ability to type and good IT knowledge would be an advantage.
This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated and passionate graduate. The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication skills and a strong commitment to assisting clients through complex legal procedures.
Job Specification
The role will include the following, but additional tasks may be added as appropriate for the role:
· Collaborate with solicitors handling cases.
· Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
· Conduct legal research on a wide range of topics, including statutes, case law and human rights issues.
· Maintain and organise case files.
· Attend conferences with clients, either in prison or in the office.
· Assist in preparation for full extradition hearings or trials.
· Provide friendly day-to-day contact with clients and an efficient service tailored to their individual requirements.
· Produce letters, witness statements, court applications, bundles and other documents as required.
· Manage written and telephone correspondence professionally and confidentially with clients, counsel and third parties.
· Assist, where requested, with the provision of legal advice to clients under supervision.
· Undertake prison visits and conferences with clients.
· Attend court hearings and take notes.
· Uphold confidentiality and adhere consistently to professional standards and ethical guidelines.
Qualifications
A degree in Law and previous experience working as a Paralegal would be beneficial. Experience in extradition cases would be an advantage but is not essential.

· Good Microsoft skills, particularly Word and Excel.
· Good client focus.

Remuneration
Salary: £28,000–£30,000 per annum, depending upon experience.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday, between 9.30 am and 5.30 pm.
