The Characteristics of Justice will be a lecture about the concept of justice and the principles underlying a justice system. Whether you are a student, pupil or barrister, you are involved every day with thinking about justice and the justice system. This lecture will provide attendees with a chance to stand back and think about what lies behind our daily work. What are the characteristics of just laws? How may the legal system promote just laws? Drawing on philosophy, domestic and international law, this lecture will attempt to answer these questions and stimulate discussion.
