Bio:
Eleena was born and raised in North Yorkshire. She joined Middle Temple as a student member having resolved that it was the right Inn of Court for her whilst studying Jurisprudence at Balliol College, Oxford, during which time she held the position of President of the Oxford University Law Society. During that time, she also met her now husband with whom she shares two vivacious young daughters.
Called in July 2001 (Diplock Scholar), Eleena was a pupil at Littleton Chambers and remained there as a tenant until 2017 when she moved to her current set, Old Square Chambers in London while still enjoying the great friendships she had built up in her first set. Eleena chairs the Law Reform Committee of the Bar Council of England and Wales. She is a trustee of The Stock Exchange Operatic and Dramatic Society and a non-executive director of Riverhouse Barn in Surrey, a community arts centre.
Eleena is a specialist practitioner in Employment and Equalities, Professional Discipline & Regulation and took silk in 2023. She also takes on complex medico-legal cases and is a fee paid Employment Judge in London. She is passionate about the arts, travel and the future in general.
