Bio:

Brian St. Louis KC became a Member of the Inn in 1992. Called to the Bar in 1994 and joined Hardwicke Building the same year. He initially practiced in employment and criminal law before specialising in criminal defence at 15 NBS from 2004. Awarded Silk in 2017. He was Head of 15NBS Chambers between 2022 to 2026. He continues to specialise in criminal defence particularly, murder, serious sexual offences and fraud.

Brian held numerous offices at the Bar Council including Chair of the Bar Conference, Vice Chair of the Public Affairs Committee and General Management Committee member. Brian has assisted with the Middle Temple Mooting competition for 15 years. He was one of the founding advocacy trainers for the vulnerable witnesses program training members of the Inn and the judiciary.

Brian is a former Chair of the Alcohol Recovery Project. He is Chair of PAN intercultural arts, a charity dedicated to helping trafficked women and victims of torture. As a mentor for the Bar Council, South Eastern Circuit and externally to pupils from state schools he strongly believes that your background should not limit your possibilities.

He is a lifelong supporter of Arsenal FC and the West Indies cricket team.
