Bio:
Kelvin is a public law silk with a practice rooted in local government law. Ranked amongst the country’s leading barristers in the field of social housing law, his practice at Cornerstone Barristers also covers most other areas of local authority activity including community care, children’s services, mental health, traffic management, land transactions, finance, governance and inquests. His reported cases are legion including many ground-breaking decisions up to Supreme Court level. The first lawyer in his family, and the first to be given the opportunity to attend university, Kelvin has sought throughout his career to help others in the ways he was helped when starting out. Upon taking silk, he became closely involved in the life of the Inn and for almost a decade taught ‘appellate advocacy’ on the Middle Temple student training programme.
