Middle Temple supports and participates in the Pegasus Scheme, which is administered by Inner Temple. Scholarships are available to tenants or employed barristers of each of the Inns up to five years' practice as a barrister (not including pupillage). Scholarships usually start in July and last for three months, but arrangements are necessarily dependent on what is suitable to the host firm.
Subject to the presence of a host law firm, scholarships are available in the following countries: Australia, Bermuda, Dubai, the ECHR, Hong Kong, India, New Zealand, Singapore, Uganda and the United States of America. Bursaries can be awarded to candidates who have made, or expect to make, their own arrangements to visit law firms or legal organisations overseas.
Applicants have to complete an online application form giving details of their academic qualifications and other relevant information. Applicants will have to supply two professional references: with at least one from a senior members of chambers.
