\n \nMaster Afua Hir sch
\n \nAfua Hirsch was called to Bar in 2 006 and is a Bencher of Middle Temple. Master Hirs ch won the Royal Society of Literature’s Jerwood P rize for non-fiction in 2016 for her first book – Brit(ish): On Race\, Identity and Belonging. Afua’ s 2023 book\, Decolonising My Body\, was named the Political Book of the Year by Waterstones. In 201 9 Master Hirsch was appointed Wallis Annenberg Cha ir in Journalism and Communication at the Universi ty of Southern California. Afua has written extens ively for newspapers and other publications and ap peared regularly on Television and is the co-prese nter of the chart topping Podcast\, Legacy.

\n \nHis Honour Judge Edward Connell
\n \nHis Honour Judge Edward Connel l was called to the Bar in 1996 and was appointed a Circuit Judge in 2019 and is currently the Resid ent Judge at Croydon Crown Court. In his spare tim e Edward is a football referee\, campaigns against discrimination in sport and sits on London FA dis ciplinary tribunals. Edward hosts a podcast called “Coming Out the Pod” where he interviews people a bout their coming out stories and co-hosts a refer ee podcast called “Red or Yellow”. Edward played a leading role in establishing the LGBTQ+ Judges As sociation and sits on the National Judicial Divers ity Committee. Edward was awarded an honorary Doct orate in Law for his contribution and dedication t o equality and diversity in the judicial system.\n \n
