This is a significant event, to celebrate International Women’s Day, 100 years of Women having the Right to vote and to discuss the serious issues of diversity and equality within the legal profession.

Geared towards discussing the adversities faced by members of varied areas of law and seniority. There will be a panel of senior and junior barristers who will speak about their experience of harassment, and obstacles or challenges in obtaining equality and diversity.

The evening will have amazing speakers including:

  • Sally Penni
  • Sara Ibrahim
  • Michael Etienne
  • Charlotte Wanendeya
  • Rosanne Godfrey-Lockwood

The first segment of the evening will be keynote speeches by two of our speakers. Followed by testimonials of each of the panelists and a discussion and debate on topical issues raised.

The audience will then have the opportunity to be involved in the debate and ask the panel questions. The evening will be concluded with a drinks and canapé reception, giving students the opportunity to interact with speakers and one another.

Tickets are free of charge, but booking is essential as places are limited.

This event is open to all members of the Inn and their guests.

Qualifying Session Details:

For Middle Temple students and transferring lawyers - this event counts as one Qualifying Session.  To be awarded the QS for this event you are required to arrive on time and attend all elements of this event (please see timings at the top of this page).  You must hand your ticket to the Front of House staff on arrival at the Hall.  Failure to do so will mean that the QS will not be awarded. Booking Tickets:

Members of the Inn can buy tickets online by clicking ‘Add to Cart’.  Please note that you must log in to book (if you have not yet created a log-in please register first).  Alternatively you can buy tickets from the Treasury Office in person or by telephoning 020 7427 4800.

Unless the event sells out earlier, booking will close 5.30pm on 9 March 2018

Please note: You cannot book a ticket online for another member of the Inn if that member needs the Qualifying Session assigned to their record. They must log in and book their own ticket, or alternatively contact the Treasury Office.
